Together! We can build a lasting Bond

The following is a list of the supervised visitation guidelines. These guidelines must be accepted and agreed upon by all parties involved prior to any supervised visitations.


The Visit

  • The Custodial Parent (CP) or authorized designee will arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the visit to drop off the child(ren).
  • The Non-Custodial Parent (NCP) will arrive promptly at the scheduled time of the visit to commence visitation. 

Both parties should make a conscious effort to avoid contact with the other party especially if there is an active no-contact order in place.


Completion of the Visit

  • The NCP will leave promptly at the end of the scheduled visit end time.
  • The CP or authorized designee will arrive  5 minutes after the scheduled visit completion time to pick up the child(ren).

Additional Guidelines

  • Do not use drugs or alcohol within 24 hours before or during the visit scheduled visit.
  • Do not bring anyone else to the scheduled visits unless preauthorized by the monitor.
  • Do not bring any weapons or items that can be used as a weapon to the visit.
  • Do not follow or harass the other party before during or after the visit.
  • Do not speak negatively about anything in front of the child(ren).
  • Do not talk about adult issues including court proceeding in front of the child(ren).
  • Do not make any promises to the child(ren) about future living arrangements or visits.
  • Do not question child/ren about the CP, foster parent, whereabouts or activities.
  • Do not send any correspondence regarding child support or messages by means of the child(ren).
  • Do not use physical punishment or threaten to use physical punishment with the child/ren during the visit.
  • Do not use a cell phone except for emergencies during the visit. 
  • You will follow "all" the suggestions of the Visitation Monitor during the visit.
  • You will notify the visitation Monitor as soon as possible if you cannot attend a scheduled visit. To receive a full refund a minimum of a 48-hour notice is required. 
  • You will only speak in the agreed upon language during the entire visit.
  • You understand that breaking this agreement can lead to the termination of the visit and services provided by BTVS.
  • You understand that visitation monitors are mandated reporters and will report any situations or circumstance that endangers the health or safety of the child(ren).
  • You understand that written observations reports will be done by the monitor during each visit. Copies will be provided upon request only to either parent, an attorney or the court. (There is a fee associated with providing the reports).
  • You understand the monitor will be present at all times during the arranged visit.
  • You understand there will be no changes in the supervised visitation schedule unless it is approved by the court and/or monitor. All court documents must be provided in advance.
